The intent for the creation of this blog is for the discussion of the ongoing immigration issue in the United States of America. Immigration is an ongoing issue not because it has spanned a couple of years or even decades, but because it was the very foundation of this nation. America was founded by both willing (colonists) and unwilling immigrants (indentured servants and slaves) of the old world, and it has become what it is today as a consequence of this early European (colonization) and African (slavery) immigration. This is why the issue of immigration is at the very heart of America. It has defined America and will continue to do so.
